Figures show their source
Reported figures have a source trail to the SEC filing they came from: the form, its accession number, and the date it was filed.
What you can hold Thaler to.
Reported figures have a source trail to the SEC filing they came from: the form, its accession number, and the date it was filed.
Figures are taken from filings exactly as companies reported them. When Thaler computes a figure itself, it is marked derived and lists the inputs it came from. No estimates, no adjustments, no silent corrections. The one place Thaler looks forward is a valuation, and only at assumptions you set: every projected figure is marked, and per-share history read in today’s shares names the splits it was carried through.
Each data update runs through a set of checks. The data status shows whether they passed, failed, or are still running.
Provenance shows when the data was last updated and when its checks last ran, so you can tell if something is stale.
